Your Privacy Choices

Access, deletion, correction, opt-out, limitation, and appeal requests

To make a privacy request, email customer-service@lawyerland.com with the subject “Privacy request.” State the right you want to exercise and the email address connected with your use of LawyerLand. Do not send identity documents until LawyerLand asks for a specific verification item.

Requests you can make

  • Know or access personal information associated with you.
  • Delete personal information, subject to applicable exceptions.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Request a portable copy where applicable.
  • Opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling where applicable.
  • Limit use or disclosure of sensitive personal information where applicable.
  • Appeal a decision on a prior privacy request where applicable.

What happens next

LawyerLand will acknowledge the request, determine which law and right applies, and ask only for the information reasonably necessary to verify it. Some records may be retained where permitted or required for security, fraud prevention, transaction records, legal obligations, or establishing and defending legal claims. LawyerLand will not discriminate against you for making a privacy request.

Request-routing choice

If you do not want request information disclosed to potentially relevant law firms, do not submit the matching-law-firm form. If you have already submitted and want future disclosures stopped, make an opt-out or deletion request using the address above. An opt-out does not undo a disclosure you previously directed or prevent records that law permits LawyerLand or a recipient to retain.
