Nicol Gersch Petterson was founded in 2020 when long-time colleagues and friends, Justie Nicol, Jennifer Gersch, and Brandi Petterson looked around at the legal field and realized partnering up was the way to go. NGP marries Justie and Jenn's former criminal defense practice, Nicol Gersch Law, with Brandi Petterson's knowledge of family law. Not only are the three friends working together now, but theyve been friends and litigated cases together for about 15 yearsall the way back to their days at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. With Justies undergrad degree in Accounting and Political Science, and Jenns undergrad in Marketing, they are better prepared than almost every other small firm in terms of understanding what it takes to run the business side of a law firm.They practice what they preach and are active in their bar association and mentoring groups to help younger attorneys serve clients well. Justie, Jenn, and Branid have been practicing law for over a decade each. Justie and Jenn cut their teeth trying cases as Deputy District AttorneysJenn in Weld County, and Justie in the 18th Judicial District (Arapahoe, Douglas, Elbert, and Lincoln). Brandi founded a niche practice in family law that she owned and managed for six years prior to joining forces with her long-time friends. Although there are several women who practice in these high-intensity areas of law, there are not many women-owned/women-led criminal defense AND family law firms with whole teams available to clients to help them through their respective situations. Nicol Gersch Petterson is focused on doing whats best for clients holistically, and not just handling your case as quickly as possible to move onto the next one. Being women, Justie, Jenn, and Brandi tend to be more empathetic to clients problems, more creative in their solutions, and more persistent in court.
