Nick was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was raised about 20 minutes away from the city in Moorestown, New Jersey. In 2010, Nicks parents decided to move to a beach town in Northeast Florida, and Nick immediately fell in love with the Sunshine State and the endless possibilities it has to offer.
During law school, Nick gained invaluable litigation experience as a certified student-attorney for the South Carolina Juvenile Justice Clinic. He also interned at a Fortune 500 company, a personal injury law firm, and the South Carolina Office of the Attorney General.
Prior to Spetsas Buist PLLC, Nick gained litigation and trial experience working for the largest insurance defense firm in Florida and, subsequently, a prominent national law firm, where he represented companies and their insurance carriers in complex civil litigation matters, including personal and catastrophic injury, premises liability, product liability, wrongful death, automobile, and trucking liability, and negligent security.
Nick uses his litigation and trial experience to aggressively pursue claims on behalf of clients injured by the negligence of others. Because of the knowledge Nick gained from defending corporations and their insurance carriers, he understands their negotiation tactics and trial techniques. Now, Nick uses this knowledge against companies and their insurance carriers to maximize the value of his clients cases and to bring justice to his clients. Nick believes in aggressive representation and understands that communication is crucial to client satisfaction. He devotes himself to treating his clients like family.
Nick and his law partner, Charles Buist, are based in Orlando, Florida. In 2022, Super Lawyers selected Nick for inclusion in Super Lawyers Rising Stars, which is an honor bestowed upon only 2.5% of the lawyers in the state of Florida.
In a
ddition to being named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers, Nick was named Top 40 under 40 by The National Trial Lawyers in 2022. This award is bestowed upon only the top trial lawyers from each state or region who are under the age of 40. Membership into The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 under 40 is by invitation only.
