  • -Andy Rueben?? Where should I begin? What started out as a interesting first meeting ended in a poorly handled professional manner 6 to 8mths later! I was referred to Andrew by Eric Goering whom seems to the better fit for difficult cases to say the least but Eric couldn't take my case at the time due to conflict but Eric explained in detail what my case will consist of and what was needed to complete a chap 13 so with that said he said "I have a attorney that can handle this with no problem his name is Andy Ruben. He said I will call him in advance to discuss the case before I introduce you two via email" Andrew welcomed me to his office for a first visit where he told me he had to review things to make sure he was willing to take my case and prepare and file my chap 13 this was around 6 or 7 mths ago. Andrew and I met several times prior to him accepting my difficult case with which he proceeds to have me pay for and retain his service with assurance he could accomplish what I needed accomplished so just like the reviews from other clients stated I felt relieved and thought I was with a good fit..After having several conversations with Andrew I begin to since irritation through conversations I was trying to explain and give Andrew all the nuts and bolts when he became extremely frustrated he stopped me and said" I'm a attorney that likes to keep things simple your case is already extremely difficult so keep your answers short sweet and to the point of my question because if not you throw me off too much explanation is not good" Although I felt this was mighty strange I took his advice and kept everything short sweet simple and to the point as I thought I understood his frustrating statement. As we continued the relationship all payments were made in full prior to our 3rd meeting and we proceeded with the case after several meetings and a couple mths Andrew statements to me were he has everything he needs and he is ready to pull the trigger upon my request!!!!! What happened was actually the complete opposite after that!!! Covid 19 struck and everything shifted I sent Andrew a email about some property mentioned in our bankruptcy was stolen his response was "Nothing I can do" my reply was isn't that a interest to the bankruptcy court Andrew never replied he just ignored the whole thing in fact Andrew received a message from me weeks later about a garnishment that was being attempted his response to me was "better come on in so we can sign and get you filed for protection ". So I arranged a meeting to file and sign to move forward with my case after meeting Andrew he shocked me because he stated that "why in the world world would I struggle to maintain a asset that is underwater he stated he would do what I needed him to do but he couldn't understand for the death of him why I would want to file to save my asset he also stated that he was friends with the opposing counselor with which he could probably work a deal if I allowed them to speak I asked was he sure he said yes because Joe Beyke refers clients to him all the time" So I trusted him which was the worst decision ever what was already becoming shaky representation became even worst Andrew stated to me he thought I was being upfront with him but this was after he stated mths ago he was ready to file and after his conversation with the opposing side he continued to tell me a judge would allow him out at this very last minute of need if he disclose that he thought his client was not being upfront I thought this was going to happen whom would jeopardize a slew of referrals and a friendship for 1 small but huge case like mine not to mention I'm African American I say this to say that after reading reviews I don't see 1 person of my race which is exactly how Andrew handled me every review reads stress-free which he gave me the complete opposite, every review reads assisted with problems he clearly sat my problem to the side when it came to my items being stolen and just 7 days before bankruptcy is null and void Andrew decides to drop my case
