When compared to construction site accidents, dog bites seem like a small concern. But dog bites can be deceptively serious. Being jumped on, snapped at, or fully bitten and attacked by a dog is one of the scariest experiences you have. Minor dog bites may only result in a small bruise and a mild apprehension of dogs moving forward, but dog bites are often quite extreme injuries.

A dog bite can result in permanent scarring, disfigurement, major blood loss, fractured bones, internal injuries, psychological injuries, and infection or disease. That last is important to note. Many people think dog bites are simply physical injuries that you treat with bandages and maybe some stitches. But a dogs mouth is swimming with nasty bacteria.
