Before opening her own firm, she supervised the Immigration Law Unit at Gulfcoast Legal Services and coordinated an immigration law clinic for Stetson Law School. She was recognized in 2013 by the Hispanic Outreach Center with their Gracias Award for her work with the immigrant community, and by the Clearwater/Tampa Bay Area Human Trafficking Task Force for her work with survivors of human trafficking.
