During Ophelia's time at the State Attorneys Office, Ophelia handled numerous misdemeanor and felony cases, and conducted numerous bench and jury trials. This was greatly beneficial in learning her trial litigation craft and gaining the experience to advocate zealously for her family law clients through all aspects of litigation.
In addition to his courtroom training, Andrew focused heavily on legal research and writing and was a respected member of the Barry University Law Review, where he served as a note and comment editor. In respect of Andrews legal research and writing skills, he served as a writing center leader in the law school, as well as a research assistant for professors on multiple occasions. Andrew also received the book award for Legal Research and Writing.
